Hi everyone,
We have updated our terms of service which will go into effect on the 19th of March 2026. Please ensure you read them thoroughly.
As some of you may have noticed we have changed the VOD section of our control panel. This is to accommodate an overhaul of how we process, store, and distribute uploaded videos. This change has also allowed us to expand the filetypes we are able to host. As of today, we are now allowing users to upload images and strings to our static hosting service.
Along with this change we will be introducing a storage quota based on your subscribed Patreon tier, currently we operate on a “fair usage” policy which isn’t very clear. Below is the amount of storage each tier will receive:
| Current Tier Name | Storage Amount |
|---|---|
| VRCDN 40 | 8 GB |
| VRCDN 100 | 20 GB |
| VRCDN 200 | 40 GB |
| VRCDN 300 | 60 GB |
| VRCDN 400 | 80 GB |
| VRCDN 500 | 100 GB |
| VRCDN 600 | 120 GB |
| VRCDN 700 | 140 GB |
| VRCDN 800 | 160 GB |
| VRCDN 900 | 180 GB |
| VRCDN 1,000 | 200 GB |
These quotas will be enabled on the 19th of March 2026. The storage used by uploaded files is calculated after we have processed the uploaded file. In most cases our processing steps should result in a smaller, more optimised file with minimal quality loss, but it may also result in a larger file than expected. This processing step is something we previously did with our VOD hosting services. If you have more data than your tier allows currently uploaded to your account, your data will not be deleted. Instead, you will not be able to upload any more data until you have removed enough files to be below your tier’s quota, or you can upgrade to a tier that allows for more data than you have uploaded.
The static hosting URL is changing from vrcdn.video to vrcdn.cloud. We feel this new URL better reflects the service we provide with our static file storage unlike the previous URL. Currently live URLs will not be deprecated for the time being but please update to the new URLs as soon as is convenient for you.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the changes mentioned above feel free send them to us via our Discord server https://discord.gg/vrcdn or to our support system https://support.vrcdn.live
Happy streaming!
